Contracting organizations generally assist with housing for JETs, but the quality and cost can vary significantly depending on the location. Many new JETs “inherit housing” and sometimes are given or sold furniture from their predecessors. Once placement decisions have been made, current JETs and/or contracting organizations will usually contact new JETs and can provide more detailed information on living situations and any upfront expenses to expect.
