It is very strongly preferred that applicants submit all documents through the online application portal. If your university registrar will not release official transcripts to students, you may have official transcripts sent directly to the JET Program Office at the Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C. When received, they will be associated with the proper application. Please upload a PDF document to the transcript section of the portal explaining the circumstances.
