Why should my reference writers submit their letters of recommendation through the online portal, as opposed to mailing a hard copy?

Letters of reference must be submitted via the JET Application Portal. We will not accept letters submitted via any other method. If your reference writer is having difficulties with the portal, please have them contact us at jetprogram@ws.mofa.go.jp.
