Do I have to buy my own plane tickets?

No. Transportation to/from Japan will be covered by your contracting organization. JET Program participants are responsible for the cost associated with transportation to the designated airport. However, please know that the JET Program will not cover dependents’ transportation or accommodation costs (i.e. those costs would be the responsibility of the JET and their family).
