The JET Program welcomes all majors! We are always seeking well-rounded candidates who are flexible, open-minded, and enthusiastic about the goals of the Program: internationalization and people-to-people exchange.
If you would like to become a stronger candidate while still in university, we recommend seeking out opportunities that will evidence your interest in the above. For example, volunteering at a Japan-related interest group, tutoring international students, studying abroad, and gaining real-life work experience are all excellent ways to increase your standing as a candidate.
